Born and raised in Indiana, I moved to Florida in 1985 and studied Photography at the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale. During that time, I learned and tried all aspects of photography (sports, fashion, portraits, weddings, etc...).
In 1989, I married my college sweetheart and moved to Illinois. After working as the Director of Photography for the House of Brides for several years, I left photography to pursue a career in sales. Since then, I've been blessed with 3 great kids to enjoy and photograph on a personal level.
In 2011, I had the pleasure of being named the official team photographer for my oldest son's lacrosse team. This revived my love for sports photography and I decided to start McAll-Star Kids Sports Photography.
However, I wanted my primary photographic service to be UNIQUE. I decided to offer a customized service doing individual assignments where I "focus" on just one person at an event, regardless of his or her ability or performance.
Over the past few years, my business has expanded and not only do I photograph kids, I’ve done numerous adult sports (Weight Lifting, CrossFit, Flag Football, etc…). After all, they’re still KIDS at heart right??
While most of my assignments these days are of entire teams where I photograph as many plays, players, and candids as possible, then post them to my hosting site, the option is still there to make your child the ONLY player I see on the field.
